Like Ozzie's other shows, Australian Adventure will provide a foundation for schools to involve students in extensive, thematic units. Some suggestions for themes are: underwater habitat, rainforest ecology, desert wildlife, unique mammals, aboriginal culture, and tropical birds.

Learn about Australia's unique flora and fauna, plants and animals found nowhere else in the world. See the kangaroo, the koala, the wombat, the echidna, the duck-billed platypus and the eucalyptus tree, which keeps its leaves but sheds its bark.

Cross the plains of Australia, with the great cattle and sheep ranches, and head out into the barren and foreboding desert, lands from which some early explorers never returned.

Visit the Great Barrier Reef, home of the world's most extensive variety of marine life. Travel into the jungles of the Kakadu National Park. See crocodiles and tropical birds in the lush rainforests.

In many ways, the history of Australia parallels our own. The country was inhabited by migrating aborigines from the Asian continent 40 thousand years ago, and then colonized by the British Empire in 1788. Like ourselves, Australians gained their independence and today express a special pride, endurance, and zest for life.

The show will use a multimedia approach to learning: models of animals, demonstrations, story-telling, artifacts, student participation and a large screen slide presentation.
