Ozzie Meets The Big Bear
The show opens with Ozzie backpacking across the stage ready to enjoy the splendors of the great outdoors. He is visited by a very friendly bear and together they teach the children how animals survive in the wild.

The Food Chain

We are connected with nature and share a responsibility to preserve the other members of our living family. Ozzie demonstrates how organisms depend upon one another for survival, and how pollution, overkilling and habitat destruction break vital links in the food chain. In a lively demonstration involving students from the audience, Ozzie teaches the importance of the tiniest creatures and warns of the dangers involved when people tamper with nature's marvelous machine.

Our Living Planet

Beyond animals and plants, Ozzie teaches the students how our entire planet is a living, changing organism. Our backdrop is a volcanic mountain which he uses to teach magma, lava domes, geysers, hot springs, and other natural wonders.

Our National Parks

We conclude Wilderness Trails with a beautiful slide journey across our country. Ozzie has driven through all 50 of our states and hiked in most of our National Parks. The slide show takes us to Alaska, Glacier Bay and Denali, a park bigger than the state of Massachusetts. As we visit some of the most beautiful places on earth we are reminded of the lessons of the wilderness. Let's hope we always have a place to retreat where we can be at peace and confront the essential meanings of life and our connection with the natural world.
